PATRICIA WILSON
Designer ∙ Artist ∙ Author

Thank you for being here!

I believe that design, art and color have amazing power at the energetic level to positively impact our moods and enhance our sense of well-being. This is conscious living; living at the soul level.

My holistic design philosophy focuses on the whole person - mind, body and spirit - and environment.

I believe in the Power of Place and in the Spirit of Place.

My mission is to educate, inspire, and create more happiness and well-being around the globe through fine design and fine art.

My Studio

I joined a small Pittsburgh interior design studio at the age of 18 in 1984 and fell in love with design when I was asked to poché a drawing. Back then, I enjoyed commercial design work - mostly corporate - and the occasional day trips to Manhattan to shop for furniture. Later on, I learned Hospitality design and this became my true love. Clubs, Dining - all that dining! - fine dining, bar and grille, outdoor cafe, fitness and well-being.

Fueled by my passion for meaningful and purposeful design, my four decades of experience now focus on the joy and beauty of living well. My approach is holistic, spiritually-based design that includes the mind, body and spirit, as well as the built environment for an integrated experience in every day life.

My entrepreneurial spirit led me to establish my small studio in 2000. In 2022 I added textile design, surface patterns, fine art and accessories to my offerings.

BOUTIQUE DESIGNER SERVICES

Today, I am excited to offer you a suite of services ranging from commercial interior design to virtual residential design services and one-on-one coaching.

My Story

THE TEXAS YEARS

In 2008, my husband and I relocated to Texas where I was most fortunate to write two columns - on food and design -  for local LIFESTYLES Magazine/Tyler Morning Telegraph reaching over 100,000 readers a month in print alone. For ten years I loved bringing design inspiration and education to my community in this way. I also enjoyed teaching watercolor to adults at the local junior college.

In 2018, I went back to school online for three years to learn surface pattern design, the art of textile design, and the business aspects of art, licensing and interiors. I'll always be a life-long learner.

LIVING ARTS BOUTIQUE, LLC

Today my new Sarasota-based boutique is home to my passion for all things coastal. Living Arts Boutique, LLC (est. 2023) is my online retail shop offering my own textile designs, my fine art, and accessories.

CAREER MILESTONES

I am thrilled to host a series of design events for The Meadows community where we come together to learn about design and enjoy our shared goal of living beautifully!

A few years ago, I was so fortunate to license my artwork to Rozendove for scarves. Humbly, I won Best of Show for a wood sculpture in a juried exhibition. LIFESTYLES Magazine awarded me three magazine covers for my styling and writing during the 10 years I wrote. I loved reaching people with beauty and inspiration in this way.

PASSION

I have been so fortunate to create two pieces of public art, and that my art speaks to so many tenants and visitors on a daily basis.

I appreciate every single person who has ever purchased my art or product, or read my stories, because I love to bring beauty and happiness into people's lives.

FOR FUN & LOVE

For fun, I love to train, splash around in the Gulf, and walk in the mornings. My favorite way of cooking and eating is grain-free, gluten-free, keto.

I love to write, draw and paint, photograph, entertain, and grow orchids. I also love sea shells, pink, Art Deco, old buildings, jazz, textiles, flowers and all things tropical; crystals, tarot and astrology. I believe in the power of feng shui when we set purposeful intentions.

My husband, Jack, taught me to play golf. We love to spend time with our five grandchildren who live in the Boston area.
