Design, art and color have amazing power at the energetic level to positively impact our moods and enhance our sense of well-being.
Beauty and grace matter.
My mission is to educate, inspire, and create more happiness and well-being around the globe!
Patricia joined a small Pittsburgh interior design studio at the age of 18 in 1984 and fell in love with design when she was asked to poché a drawing. Fueled by her passion for meaningful and purposeful design, her four decades of experience focus on the joy and beauty of living well at home.
Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found her small studio in 2000. In 2022 she added textile design and fine art to her offerings.
THE TEXAS YEARS
In 2008, she and her husband moved to Texas where she was most fortunate to write two columns - on food and design - for local LIFESTYLES Magazine/Tyler Morning Telegraph reaching over 100,000 readers a month in print. For ten years she loved bringing design inspiration and education to her community in this way. She also enjoyed teaching watercolor to adults at the local junior college. In 2018, Patricia went back to school online to learn surface pattern design, the art of textile design, and the business of art and design.
Today her new Sarasota-based boutique is home to her passion for all things coastal. Living Arts Boutique, LLC is a retail boutique offering her own textile designs, fine art paintings, beautiful floral scarves, custom furnishings and accessories.
Career milestones include licensing her artwork to Rozendove for scarves; winning Best of Show for a sculpture in a juried show; designing two pieces of public art, one in Texas and one in Florida; and being awarded three magazine covers for her styling and writing.
Patricia loves, loves, loves that her public art speaks to so many visitors on a daily basis. She appreciates every single person who has ever purchased art or product and loves to have the opportunity to bring beauty and inspiration into people's homes.
For fun, she and her husband, Jack, love to dance and play golf. She loves to train, swim in the Gulf, cook, draw and paint, and grow orchids.
I've had a lifelong passion for flowers, colors, and the sea.
My artwork is based on nature's golden mean (Sacred Geometry) inherent in every leaf, petal and shell.
